Ruff Draft: Breast Cancer Awareness – Free Printable Bag Tag

October as you know, is breast cancer awareness month… We want to help support the cause by giving you free printable bag tags!
Shana Shivel, our marketing specialist, asked us to create this tag in honor of all the brave woman who have fought the disease. She wants to share a personal story with you as well.
In her words…
“I started wearing the pink ribbon in college to honor my aunt who had survived her bout with breast cancer. I am very close to her – like a second mother. My mom and I took her to the beach to celebrate her survival, and I thought that would be the end of my family’s run with it. However, the disease quickly claimed several of my grandmother’s sisters. We again thought as a family we were in the clear. Everyone was healthy and relatively young. However, my life changed forever when my 53 year old mom was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. It quickly spread and she succumbed to the disease. I do everything I can to honor her memory and support those living with breast cancer and the caregivers who lovingly take care of them.”
With that said, please show your support and use these Breast Cancer Awareness Bag Tags!

A Rockin’ Sweet 15 Birthday Celebration!

A few months ago we were asked to design a collection for an upcoming Sweet 15 Birthday for a traditional Quince Celebration . Cristy Devito from DeVito Events & Design, reached out to us to help her with her younger cousin’s party. Just wait until you see this amazing event!!!
Details (as told by Cristy)
Party planned by myself: Cristy DeVito, DeVito events & design in Miami, FL (bday girl also happens to be my little cousin)
Venue: Loft on Bayshore in Miami, FL
Birthday girl’s cake: Cake by Edda’s
Dad’s cake: Cakes by Yvette Falcon
Photographer: Nichole Lee Photography
We wanted the theme to be unlike a traditional quince and feel more like club theme with loud music (including a drummer and all), lights, couches and pillows. We even had an “hora loca” during the middle of the party where the drummer made his first appearance and when all the props were brought out. It was really a “crazy” fun hour! We custom made the backdrop utilizing the logos you created for us which was a big hit at the party. The teens went crazy over the dessert/candy table the second we “opened” it! The birthday girl shares her actual birthday with her dad so it was a very special moment to bring out a cuban style “cohiba” themed cake for him. The “midnight snacks” were an added touch that was a huge hit among the teens. They all loved the flip flop idea, and in fact, everyone was blown away by ALL the details including the wish tree, etc.
——————————————————————————————————
Ready to be blown away by all the fabulous details of this party????
As the guests walked in, they first found their table number, which we designed to match the invitation
The colors of this party were PINK, green & orange…. perfect teen colors, bright & bold!
They set up a SWEETS table for the guests, in honor of her SWEET 15!
They used take out boxes for the treats!
Once the guests had their fill of goodies, they came over to the Wishing Tree, to leave Jennesys a birthday wish.
The birthday girl made her appearance and the party began!
They had live music as well as a DJ!
They put up a personalized backdrop for guests to pose for pictures! (the fonts matched all the printable designs) – How fun is this???
More props for pictures!!
They even thought to create a Flip Flop Station, so the girls didn’t have to wear heels all night…. the teens LOVED this!!!
And for resting, they sat out matching pillows
Loved the quote they requested for the straws!!
Cheers!
The Birthday Girl changed to her party dress later in the evening.
Birthday Cake – so fun and festive!!!
Love the Dad’s Cake – a cigar, how perfect!!!!
Daddy and daughter, dancing the night away!
They didn’t miss one single detail…. what a fantastic way to end the evening! YUM!!!
Thank you Cristy for sharing these gorgeous pictures with us – we hope Jennesys had the most memorable Sweet 15 birthday bash!!!

Last year we collaborated with Courtney Dial of Pizzazzerie on a special Halloween project. We created printables for a Pink Halloween Collection. Courtney styled her own dessert table using our printables. Remember?
Pink + Halloween = Pinkoween Collection
There are so many opportunities to celebrate using our Pink Halloween/Pinkoween Collection. Many of our clients used the package for their little girls’ birthday parties or Halloween parties as well.
Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we knew this would be perfect for any fund raising or breast cancer awareness parties and events.
Like we did last year, we are donating $2 for every purchase of our Pinkoween Printable Collection in our shop to the Susan G. Komen For the Cure.
This year we freshened it up and added a few new designs! Without further delay, here are the photos from our 2011 photo shoot.
We added party flags to the collection – perfect to add detail to your straws, lollipop sticks and more!
Our wine wraps are very popular and so we added this to the package as well. These are great for everything from wine bottles at an adult party to decanters for serving juice at a child’s party.
Don’t you love the polka dot gable boxes? These came from Polka Dot Market!
We displayed the cute party logos on little pink ribbons hanging from a black feather tree. We also displayed the logos on cupcakes (with a ruffle embellishment) that are shown in cupcake wrappers by Bella Cupcake Couture.
Our Pinkoween Collection is on sale for $12 in our shop.
We are donating $2 from every purchase to the Susan G. Komen Foundation!

This post is image heavy…

We had major inspiration to do something different for the hanging decor. The paper plate polyhedrons are SO easy to make and we were pretty excited to create something unique.
You can find the tutorial on Disney Family Fun….
Cotton candy made a GREAT filler display in the tall glass jars. The cookies from Allyson Jane were strung with ribbon and hung over these fabulous glass apothecary jars…. Don’t you just LOVE the cookies!?
Here are some more of the beautiful cookies from Allyson Jane. She baked them with a hole in them so we could embellish with a ribbon. I love adding another texture to the cookies!

This cake was from a regular plain-old bakery (seriously – $8 at Target!) and we dressed it up with fancy and beautiful fondant from Sweet Petal Bakery. We love this option to decorate our own cake with professional decor/fondant!
Lollipops with the printable lollipop covers were stuck into the fun layered jello (SO easy to make!)
Patterned papers were used with heart craft punches to create this super fun garland that hung on the front of the table. Also, the hershey kisses labels!?
They were GREAT props for the kids, too!
How cute is the dress from Mini Mooh!?
The cupcakes from Cupcrazed Cakery in Baxter….
Heather does such an amazing job making the most
unique flavors of cupcakes! These were scrumptious!

Are you smiling yet?

This is funny. The first photo Becca took of (my son) Pierson and Arden was this…
… the second shot….
It just took Arden’s mom coming into the room and doing something cute to light up their faces!
(PS. I made these oreo truffles with my cookie girls – we get together every Christmas to make cookies and this year we made these! So fun, right?!)
We used the twine from The Cupcake Social to create a sweet little pom on top.

Each guest had a place setting that looked like so. I meant to take a picture of the food! I was too wrapped up in entertaining and running games.
