The Perfect Jelly Belly Concession Stand (with FREE Printable Flavor Voting Cards!)

Jelly Belly Stand

Last week, we shared the reveal of Brynne’s 13th Birthday Outdoor Movie Night featuring a Jelly Belly Consession Stand, decorated movie screen, outdoor seating with monogrammed pillows and blankets and a festive popcorn bar.  We were so excited to partner with Jelly Belly to create the perfect jelly bean display for Brynne’s movie birthday party.

Today, we are giving you the FREE Printable Jelly Belly Concession Stand Poster and Voting Cards to download and use at your next party!

We wanted to have a bright and festive outdoor movie party, and bright colored Jelly Belly were the perfect way to pull in color and also be the star treat of the evening!

Teens and tweens LOVE Jelly Belly and we incorporated them into the party in a few places:
– Jelly Belly Concession Stand with Tasting Voting Cards (Download for FREE here!)– Jelly Belly Blind Taste Testing (We blindfolded the girls and had them guess the flavor after doing their voting activity)
– Decorate your own cupcake with Jelly Belly
– Favor Jars personalized with printable favor tags and displayed around the party

Read on for the details….

Full jelly belly cartThese teeny boppers looked SO adorable and were SO excited about the Jelly Belly experience they would have at the movie night! Jelly Belly was the top pick of treats when Adria asked Brynne what candy she wanted for her concession stand.

Best friends at movie night

The Jelly Belly Concession Stand was so easy to create!  We created a candy cart by transforming an Ikea Kitchen Cart by placing a vintage wagon wheel in front and a printable party sign hanging above.  We also created fringe semi-circle garland with tissue paper and wrapped colorful gifts in wrapping paper from Ikea’s party shop.  We stacked jars with several flavors and colors on two tiers in two jar sizes so all the Jelly Belly Jelly Beans were able to be seen.  We indicated each flavor with printable party labels from our Outdoor Movie Night full printable package. We also placed our soda pop bottles in a vintage pop container on the second shelf along with paper plates, napkins and utensil party supplies.

They loved testing all the flavors and comparing notes with each other.  They took this task quite serious but had so much fun along the way.

The girls had SO MUCH FUN doing this with Jelly Belly!

Ruff Draft: FREE PRINTABLE Christmas Express Ticket

FREE PRINTABLE Christmas Express Ticket

We have been in the spirit of giving lately and today we are sharing a FREE PRINTABLE CHRISTMAS EXPRESS TICKET .  We love Christmas traditions – remembering old ones and creating new ones… and we came across the cutest Christmas tradition from Confessions of a Home Schooler.  The concept is that she gives her kids “Golden Tickets” each year, on a night during the month of December so they can use the ticket to go see Christmas Lights in the car.  She hides it under their bed blankets, and after they have pjs on they get in bed and discover the ticket.  Once they find the ticket, she has the car ready with blankets, hot cocoa and they go off to see Christmas Lights.  We loved this so much, we knew we had to create a design and share this fabulous tradition!!!  We designed the ticket to coordinate with our  North Pole Collection, which has an adorable hot cocoa bar set as well.  (You can set up a hot cocoa bar before you head out for lights, if you don’t want messes in the car)!

Free Printable from Anders Ruff

Supplies Needed:
Photo paper, card stock or paper of your choice
Hole Punch

Creating a Christmas Express Ticket for seeing Christmas Lights

1. Download and print the free printable Christmas Express Ticket
2. Trim with scissors
3. On the special night,  cut a few holes on the ticket with a hole punch as your child enters the vehicle.  (I just punched each of my girls first initial)
4. Enjoy local lights in the car along with Christmas music, blankets & hot cocoa

Christmas Express Ticket to see lights

I told my girls that we would leave the tickets next to our Elf, and let him surprise us one night with them.  Whatever night he leaves the ticket will be the night we go on a car ride adventure.  I will make sure I have hot cocoa, blankets, snacks and a new set of Christmas pajamas ready for when the ticket arrives.

I will probably set up a hot cocoa bar before we leave, because I don’t like messes while traveling! LOL
Look how easy this is to set up at home… (these pictures are from our North Pole Collection)

We are lucky to have a Christmas town near us, so we will be traveling to McAdenville, NC (Christmas Town USA) in the next couple of weeks.  I am sooo excited to start this new tradition in our family.

Leave us comments on how you will surprise your kids with this Christmas Express Ticket…. We would love to hear!

Ruff Draft: FREE PRINTABLE Graduation Giant Chocolate Bar Wrap

Filed under Free Printables, Freebies, Parties, Ruff Draft

It is graduation season and we know many of you will be going to upcoming graduation parties!  My 5th grader, has graduation next week actually… being promoted to middle school.  Wow how time flies – I can’t believe I will be a parent of a jr. high school kid!!!  We recently designed a free printable graduation card and if you are in need of a money card, you can find it here!  A friend of ours, Jen, was in need of an oversized chocolate bar wrap that she thought would be fun to pass out at graduation, so we designed a freebie for everyone to have!  This printable wrap fits extra large and giant size chocolate bars.  We added a to/from tab on the back of the wrap, for personalization.  As soon as my girls saw these giant chocolate bars with the cute wraps, they both said this is what they wanted to graduation…. too funny!

Supplies needed:
Extra large or Giant Choloate Bar (we used Hershey’s)
Free Printable – downloaded and printed:  andersruff-graduation-chocolate-bar-free-printable

1. Print free printable on 8.5″ x 11″ photo paper or cardstock.
2. Trim to size (some extra trimming may need to be done for Extra Large bars)
3. Fold and wrap around chocolate bar
4. Tape closed shut

5. Fill out to/from and chocolate bar wrap is complete

How fun would it be to slip in a check or cash, (taped to candy bar), so when the graduate opens the bar, it’s like they won the golden ticket from Charlie in the Chocolate Factory?  In fact, I might give my girls these chocolate bars, and hide money inside for graduation – they would LOVE it!!!

I hope you have fun celebrating all the graduates of 2013!

Ruff Draft: Green Eggs and Ham anyone? Free Printable Logos!

February 29, 2012 by
Filed under DIY, Free Printables, Freebies, Ruff Draft

A little birdie reminded us that Dr. Seuss’ birthday is just around the corner…. March 2nd is his official birthday.  With St. Patty’s Day coming up as well, we thought it would be fun to put together some Dr. Seuss snacks that would be great for:  Dr. Seuss’ Birthday (March 2nd), St. Patty’s Day (March 17th), After-school snacks or even a Breakfast Birthday Celebration!

We also wanted to offer a FREE PRINTABLE  andersruff-try them try them in honor of Dr. Seuss’ Birthday!!!  It’s one of my favorite quotes from Green Eggs & Ham:

“You do not like them, so you say?  Try them! Try them! And you may.”   (I used to refer to that book, when I needed to convince my kids to eat something they thought they didn’t like)

Stick these party logos on any new food, and I bet your kids will try it!!! :)

snack table

Supplies needed:

Paper plates, napkins & cups

FREE PRINTABLE  try them try them

Striped Pattern Paper from our Birthday Collection

Craft Punch/Scissors/Tape

Ingredients for Snacks:

hard boiled eggs – shells removed

ham – cut into circles

small tomatoes – I used campari size tomatoes

fresh mozzarella cheese log – one large circle, several small circles to match size of small tomato

orange slices

apple slices

star fruit (it has an odd taste – you could always use a star cookie cutter and cut out some other fruit for the “starfish”)

swedish fish

snack table setting

So basically, I made three edible stacks from 3 of my favorite Dr. Seuss books!

First, I  lined my paper plate with the patterned paper from our Dr. Seuss Inspired Birthday Collection – such a simple touch that makes a bold statement!

Then, onto the Stacks!!!

Green Eggs & Ham Stack

green eggs & ham

Using a large bowl, mix green food coloring and water – I used the green gel in the baking section… I put about a 1/4 teaspoon of it in the water

Add the hard boiled eggs and mix them around in the colored water until you desired coloring

Cut your ham into various circles – I used  cookie cutters

Add your pieces of ham to green colored water and  remove once you have desired coloring

Place hard boiled egg on ham stacks, and use a wooden skewer to hold together

Add pre-cut & printed party logo

Cat in the Hat Tomato & Cheese Stack

cat in the hat stack

Cut one large piece of mozzarella cheese (width of cheese log)

Cut capari sized tomatoes

Cut (with circular cookie cutter) mozzarella cheese to match tomato size

Layer cheese and tomato to create the “hat”

Use wooden skewer to hold together

Add pre-cut & printed party logo

***For a caprese salad version, add balsamic vinegar with olive oil, fresh basil, salt & pepper and garlic salt to the tomatoes before assembling stack

One Fish Two Fish, RED FISH, Blue Fish Stack

one fish two fish

Slice orange, apple, and star fruit

Layer and add a Swedish fish to the top of “starfish”

Use wooden skewer to hold together

Add pre-cut & printed party logo

For the final embellishments, use the patterned paper as a napkin wrap and use the party logo for a cup detail!
